Kenneth Joseph Brown, 68, of 18219 Manor Church Road, Boonsboro, MD, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Nov. 7, 1937, in Tilghmanton, Md., he was the son of Thelma A. Alexander Brown Troup of Boonsboro and the late Cecil A. Brown.
He was a 1955 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
He was the owner and operator of Maryland Home Improvement for more than 27 years, retiring in 2005.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Hagerstown.
He also was a member of Fairplay Volunteer Fire Co., Improved Order of Redmen Conococheague Tribe 84 Past Great Sachem, Williamsport Moose and American Legion Drum and Bugle Corp.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four daughters, Kimberlee J. Decker, Tina L. Dagenhart and Kristen R. Brown, all of Williamsport, and Kendrea J. Hines of Fairplay; four sons, Phillip L. Brown and Kevin J. Brown, both of Falling Waters, W.Va., Jeffrey D. Brown of Clearbrook, Va., and Daniel J. Brown of Williamsport; one stepson, Donald L. Jordan of Falling Waters; one sister, Melodie L. Frey of Boonsboro; two brothers, Calvin A. Brown of Hagerstown and Paul A. Brown of Boonsboro; his companion, Mary D. Houser of Williamsport; 14 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two stepsons, Deets Whitmore and Richard W. Jordan.
Services were held Monday at Manor Church of the Brethren in Boonsboro. The Rev. Joy Zepp will officiate. Burial was in Manor Church Cemetery in Boonsboro.
