Ruth Elizabeth Catterson October 8, 1918 - October 10, 2008 SALEM - Ruth Catterson died last Friday due to natural causes. She was 90. Ruth was born to John and Louise Brewer. Ruth was one of 12 siblings. She married Weldon Catterson in 1942. He died in 1983. They had five children and Ruth stayed at home to raise her children. Survivors include her son, Carl Catterson of Salem; daughter, Charlotte Garrido of Olalla, Wash.; daughter, Shirley Waite of Woodburn; son, John Catterson of Woodburn; son, Paul Catterson of Salem. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 18 and and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday October 19, with a funeral service following at 3 p.m. all at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commercial St. SE, Salem.
