Bessie Florence Anderson Awtrey was the daughter of William Champion Anderson and Ollie Sephronia Tomlin. She married Bascum James Awtrey/Autrey (spelled both ways) in about 1935. They had six children Ronnie Clint Awtrey 1937-1947 of Odessa Tx., Wilma Awtrey Land 1938-1994 Andrews, Tx, Gene Awtrey 1936-1947, B. Awtrey 1942-1942, James Ralph Awtrey 1944- and Joyce Awtrey Mitchell of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She died a very violent sudden death along with her sister Georgia Dimple Anderson Frazier.
