Alton Arness, 77, Fisher died Thursday March 5, 1998 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Alton Lowell Arness was born January 18, 1921 the son of Arthur and Clara (Larson) Arness in Fisher. He graduated from Northwest School of Agriculture, Crookston in 1937. He farmed with his father. he married Georgine Elaine Wehus on September 19, 1942, in Climax Minnesota. They Retired from farming in 1983.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Craig (Rekha) McLean VA, two granddaughters; a brother Duane, Mentor Minnesota; and nieces who he raised, Teresa Pierce and Kristi McLean.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Fisher Lutheran Church
Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Stenshoel-Houske, Crookston and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Bardo Cemetery, Crookston.
