Born June 9, 1919, in Lewisburg, Tenn., to Albert and Gertrude McKinney Adams, she married Jirel Brown in 1944 in Tennessee state. He preceded her in death.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Michael Randy Brown on July 27, 2002; one daughter, Myra Brown in 1955; three sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are one son, Gerald ''Buzz'' of East Peoria; three daughters, Gale (and Matt) Whitlow and Kathy Brown, both of East Peoria, and Terry (and Joe) Gibson of Havana; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and three sisters, Dean Owens, Mildred Townson and Mary Farler, all of Tennessee.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a former Sunday school teacher.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery.
