Charlie Jones was born in Brooklyn, NY. Son of Charles Bartholdi Jones
and Anna Marie Tischbein Jones
Joined the United States Navy as a firefighter during WWII. Married to Elizabeth Woods, moved to Norwalk, Connecticut in 1950 and had two children, Keren Ann and Peter Charles Jones.
He was very involved in the American Red Cross, and volunteered for many years. Dad was then elected as Chairman of the Norwalk-Wilton Chapter in Connecticut, USA.
Dad died of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 57. He had heart problems. He suffered a heart attack at age 42, but this was totally unexpected. He died three months before his first grandchild was born. Dad has 7 grandchildren that he never met.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I love and miss you so much, Dad, and wish you were here. Rest in peace and I'll see you in Heaven.
