OBITUARY
The subject of this notice, Francis, daughter of J. A. and Sarah E. Byrd, was born Jan. .8, 1870 and died at; her home near Magee in Simpson County. Miss., Oct. 9, 1915.
She was married to R. C. Hopkins Nov. 25, 1897 and to them were born one son and two daughters.
Sister Hopking (sic Hopkins) confessed faith in Christ and was baptized (sic baptized) into the fellowship of Zion Hill church of regular Baptist when she was about 15 years old. From Zion Hill she moved her membership to Concord church, where she lived a consistent member until her death. The writer has been her pastor for the last three years and he csn (sic can) safely say that he never knew a more devoted companion, loving mother and faithful christian (sic Christian) than was sister Hopkins.
She leaves her father and mother, one brother and seven sisters, her kind and devoted husband and three children with a host of friends to mourn her death. This good woman has gone to her reward but her works will follow her.
Our prayer is for the bereaved ones, that Gods richest blessings may rest upon them.
