Mrs. Elizabeth A. Fitz Randolph of 19 Grace Court died yesterday at the Long Island College Hospital following a major operation which terminated an illness of over three months. Mrs. Fitz Randolph was born in Brooklyn and had lived all her life here, having been particularly active in social, charitable and musical work. She had been soprano soloist in several Brooklyn churches and for many years was a director of the Brooklyn Nursery and Infant's Hospital, first vice president of the Long Island Society, Daughters of the Revolution, and a member of the Brooklyn Woman's Club. Mrs. Fitz Randolph was the wife of the late George B. Fitz Randolph and daughter of the late Dr. John J. Anderson. Dr. Anderson, educator and historian, was a friend and coworker of Horace Greeley, Henry Ward Beecher and others and took an active part in the civic and social life of old Brooklyn through the Civil War and reconstruction days and down into the early Twentieth Century. In the later years of her father's life Mrs. Fitz Randolph acted as his secretary and collaborator and was herself an author of many articles in historical and sociological subjects. Mrs. Fitz Randolph is survived by three sons, John A., Roy B. and Theodore Fitz Randolph, and a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Fitz Randolph. Funeral services will be held at the Gravesend Cemetery Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, followed by interment.
