ARTHUR DOUGHERTY REES was born in July of 1878 in Wales to George Evan Rees & Julia Montaigue Dougherty-Rees, while his parents were living abroad.

He was a Playwright and History teacher by profession.

Arthur married Mary DeBerniere Graves on 18 September 1919, and they had ONE son of record:

Pembroke Graves Rees (1920 - 2010).

Arthur passed away on 28 December 1961 in New York, and he was laid to rest at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.
