Mrs. Myrian A (Cooper) Abrell 87, of 2070 S. Fifth St. died at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born in Dawson, the daughter of Rufus and Lydia Cooper. She graduated in 1922 from St. John's Hospital School of Nursing.
A registered nurse for many years, Mrs. Abrell was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as camp nurse in church youth groups.
Her husband, Donald Abrell, preceded her in death in 1967. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Becky) Eke of Lenore, Idaho, and Mrs. Martin (Betty) Douglas of Aurora; one sister, Mrs. Colby (Eleanor) Skinner of Balsam Lake, Wis.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Roger Rominger officiating.
Remains were donated to SIU School of Medicine.
