1905 Cherry, USN ret.}, died at 2:07 a.m. yesterday at Memphis Veterans Hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Memhis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in National Cemetery. He was a Baptist and a veteran of World War ll. He leaves his wife , Mrs. Betty Conner ; two daughters, Miss Charlotte Conner and Miss. Cheryl Conner, and a son Joseph Charles Conner Jr., all of the home; a stepson Timothy Mote of Memphis, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Wilkinson of Clinton Miss.
