She was a daughter of Dennis and Elizabeth White Farrell.

After attending the Canton school and Potsdam Normal, she was a teacher in the Canton grammar school for a number of years.

Surviving was her husband; a son, Edson, Jr., 10; a daughter, Jean, 8; her parents and a brother James of Newark, NJ. Two children predeceased her.
