Lorraine E. Oehldrich-Schwinn, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday ,August 22, 2010, at Aurora Memorial Medical Center, Sheboygan, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 16, 1925, in the town of Centerville, a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Ziebel) Schomburg. She attended local schools.
On August 10, 1946, Lorraine was united in marriage to Robert W. Oehldrich. Together they farmed on the Oehldrich homestead, in the town of Centerville. He preceded her in death on December 13, 1976. On November 10, 1979, Lorraine was married to Henry P. Schwinn. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2009.
Lorraine was a life member of St John and St Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Cleveland, where she had been a faithful member of the Ladies Aid. She was a member volunteer of the American Red Cross and the Ladies Auxiliary to the Cleveland VFW Post 8974. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, word-search and jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving Lorraine is son, Earl (Nancy) Oehldrich and daughter, Kay Marie (Fritz) Bitter, both of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Tammy (Shawn) Dehne; Robert (Sarah) Oehldrich; Dennis (Kayla) Oehldrich; all of Cleveland, and Kelly (Joe) Wamser, of Sheboygan; five great-grandchildren, Lily; Emma; Hannah; Harrison; and Madeline; one sister, Alice Wagner of Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Norma Henschel of Cleveland; and Kathy Wagner of Cleveland; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Koepke of Cascade; and Paul Schwinn of Cleveland. She is further survived by step-children, step -grandchildren and step- great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved Schnauzer, Peanut, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, and husbands, Robert and Henry, she was also preceded in death by a son, Dale and brother, Raymond.
A Funeral service will be held for Lorraine, on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Cleveland. Pastor David Endorf will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Saxon Cemetery in the town of Centerville.
