28Jan2023 Suggested Edit: FRANCESVILLE — Services for Willis G. Kesler, 67, Francesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Vollmer Funeral Home. Mr. Kesler died at 8:20 p.m. Saturday in Parkview Haven Retirement Home. Born Feb. 6, 1925, in Monon, he was the son of Sylvester and Beatrice Lutes Kesler. On Dec. 15, 1945, he was married in Monticello to Frances Heath, who survives. A lifelong resident of Francesville, he retired in 1983 as a construction worker for Chester Inc. Mr. Kesler was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Jesse Engle Post No. 228. Also surviving are one son, Jerry, Valparaiso; one brother, Charles "Dick", Buffalo; two sisters, Florence Boomershine, Mesa, Ariz., and Ruth Lerch, Francesville; and two grandchildren. One son and one brother preceded in death. Officiating at the services will be Pastor Roger Cryan. Burial, with military rites, will be in Roseland Cemetery, Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
