THOMPSON. VIVIAN LENA — Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary, Tuesday, at 1:30 p.m. for Vivien Lena Thompson, 71, 125 Woodrow Ave., North Bakersfield, who died Aug. 23 in a Bakersfield hospital. E. A. Watts of the Norris Road Church of Christ will officiate and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of California and had lived in the state all her life, living in Kern County 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, William R. Thompson, 126 Woodrow Ave.; 3 sons, W. N. Thompson of South America; F. A. Thompson of Santa Maria, E. A. Thompson of Colusa; 4 daughters, Doris M. Stanaich, Santa Cruz; Mrs. L. G. Collins, Yorba-Linda; Mrs. F. W. Congdon, Long Beach; Beatrice K. Balch, North Bakersfierd; 4 brothers, Ralph Markham, Grass Valley: Steven A. Markham, Bakersfield; Aubrey Markham, Bellflower; E. S. Markham, Long Beach; a sister. Cecilia Temple, San Francisco; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
