Theodore (Ted) Q. (Roosevelt) Starr was the son of Henry Starr, the outlaw who was the son of George "Hop" Starr and Mary Ellen Scott, and Olive F. "Ollie" Griffin. He always resented his father's reputation and the Starr family outlaw reputation, thus he led an exemplary life.

He graduated from the Old Central High School of Muskogee, OK, and the University of OK where he ran on the track team. He was an appraiser for the Corp of Engineers and later when he retired, for the F.H.A.

His favorite pasttime was sports and more sports. He especially loved to bowl--and was very good at it. He liked to follow pro-bowling and attended many tournaments. He also liked to travel and had traveled extensively throughout the U.S. including Hawaii.

His last wife was Frances (Worrell) Preston Starr. He had one child by one of his marriages: Barbara (Starr) Cornell Langhus; and two grandchildren: Jay Starr Cornell and Jennifer Cornell.

He also had two step-sons: Rodney A. Preston and Daniel W. Preston.
