Vada A. Williams, 94, Raytown, MO, passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m., Tuesday, at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice. Vada was born December 3, 1915 in Camden County, MO, to William J. and Rachel E. McGuire and had lived in this area most of her life. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Raytown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Williams, in 1995. Survivors include 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Jeanette and Gerry Leach, of Merritt Island, FL; Peggy and Gary Davis, of KCMO; Sandra Elson, of Casa Grande, AZ; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. (Bob) and Bonnie Williams, of Jefferson City, MO; a sister, Winifred Bradshaw, of Lebanon, MO; 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Vada was a devoted mother and grandmother.
