Donald F. Tossell Sr., a retired president of Crescent Pile Driving, died Wednesday at Kenner Regional Medical Center. He was 78. Mr. Tossell was born in Kewanee, Ill., and lived in Metairie for the past 52 years. He was a senior chief yeoman in the Navy. Survivors include his wife, Estelle "Cissy" Ulmer Tossell; two sons, Larry and Donald F. Tossell Jr.; a daughter, Debra Tossell Steinmetz; and two grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
