His wife died about three years ago, since which time he has made his home with his son, B. E. Jolls of this city.
Four children survive him - F. S. Jolls, who lives at Fredonia, N. Y.; B. E. Jolls of this city; Mrs. John Colburn and Mrs. Abe Colburn who live near Palmer.
Mr. Jolls was an upright, honest conscientious man. He always enjoyed good health and was very active for a man of his years. He was taken with a severe cold but thought nothing of it for a day or two, when he became rapidly worse. A doctor was summoned who pronounced the case pneumonia. It had taken such a secure hold upon him that he succumbed in a few days. Rev. Stanton Olinger of this city conducted the funeral services, the body being laid to rest in the cemetery near Palmer.
The bereaved ones have the sympathy of a host of friends.
