Smith Brady Moulton died at his home on June 19.1945. He was born on August 2, 1872, in Meigs County TN, the son of John Peoples and Mary Brady Moulton. In 1898 he married Sydnah Ann McPherson, daughter of Capt.(Judge) Joel Lewis McPherson and Hannah Ladd McPherson. Smith Moulton was a farmer most of his life. The family lived on their farm in Rhea County for many years until it was purchased by TVA under eminent domain and was covered by water to form Watt's Bar Reservoir. At this time he retired and moved with his wife to their present home in Spring City. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Elizabeth (8-22-1899 to 11-4-1907) and by a son, Sydney Burton (6-23-1911 to 7-1-1912.) He is survived by his wife, Sydnah, and sons: James Smith Moulton, William Ralph Moulton, and Joel Paul Moulton, and two grandchildren.
