He was born October 9, 1921, in Ritzville, to Frank and Caroline (Olsen) Telecky. He graduated Ritzville High School in 1939. He entered the US Navy in 1941. His naval career spanned 41 years. He was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He married Shirley Vehrs on Dec. 29, 1947 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church where he served many years as warden.
He was an active member of the American Legion and VFW. He also belonged to the Pearl Harbor Survivors. He moved to Tacoma to live with his daughter. He enjoyed being around his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His is survived by three children (names deleted for privacy) He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Winston, Howard and Cecil.
