Margaret Orton
Mrs. Margaret Johns Orton, 80, of 2031 Gramercy, died this morning at a local nursing home of causes incident to age. Mrs. Orton was born Aug. 2, 1887 in Pleasant View, a daughter of Davis and Sarah Ann Thomas Johns. She had lived in the Ogden area all of her life. On Nov. 28, 1817, she was married to Hyrum F. Orton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died May 29, 1934, in Pleasant View. She was a member of the LDS Church and had been a teacher in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society in the Pleasant View Ward.

Surviving are one son, Elmer Orton, Clearfield; seven grandchildren; one great - grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Diane J. Higley, Ogden. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Davie E. Tanner of the Thrifty Ward officiating. Friends may call at this mortuary Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday prior to services. Interment will be in the North Ogden Cemetery.
