She received her diploma from Yazoo City Training High School in 1956 and on January 11, 1959 married Mr. Clyde Earl Jackson. They later moved to Pontiac, Michigan. They were married for 40 years at the time of her passing. She passed away @ 6:35am one Friday morning, of Ovarian Cancer, at a hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She was laid-to-rest in Yazoo City, MS next to her brother Winfield McGee, sister-in-law Bonnie Mae Jackson-McGee, and nephew Terry Lee McGee. She was preceded in death by her father Ollie McGee, two brothers Samuel Joel and Winfield and a baby sister Valeree Ann McGee.
