Johonas Fredrick Luetkens was born in the town of Westfield on May 12 1881. He passed away at his farm home on June 15, 1929, after a lingering illness of over 12 years.
Funeral services were held from the home and from St. Peter's Lutheran church on Tuesday, June 18, the Rev. F. Schalkhouser officiating. Paulbearers were C. Hannusa, Fred Ninnaman, August Steckelberg, Henry Henning, Reinhart Schrank and Fred Kruse.
The deceased resided his entire life in the town of Westfield, and on May 6, 1908, was united in marriage with Miss Emma Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Will Meyer, town of Westfield. To this union were born three childdren, Gilbert, Lorna and Ernest, who with their mother survive.
