Wayne Edward Wilbur Jr.
April 21, 1961 - Aug. 30, 2002

Wayne Edward Wilbur Jr., 41, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, in the arms of his loving family. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. His ashes will be laid to rest at Trinity Lakes by his daughters at his request.

Wayne was born April 21, 1961, in Olympia, Wash. He moved with his family in 1971, to the Caldwell area where he was reared and educated. He graduated from Caldwell Senior High School in 1979. He married his high school sweetheart, Lori Lin Osgood, Feb. 14, 1980.

They divorced in July 2000. From this union were born his two daughters, Brandi Lynn, 21, and Ashley Elizabeth, 18. Wayne's daughters were a source of great pride for Wayne and were the light and joy of his short life.

Wayne worked as the chief operator at the J. R. Simplot Co. Ethanol Plant in Caldwell for 15 years, until he was medically disabled in the spring of 2000.

He served the youth of the area for more than ten years, first as a coach, then as the President of the G.A.L.S. softball league in Caldwell. He spent many hot August days volunteering with the Exchange Club serving up chorizos at the rodeos in Caldwell. He also enjoyed woodworking, tinkering in his garage, sports and music. He was a life-long, diehard fan of Ozzy Osbourne, the St. Louis Rams and the Utah Jazz. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Wayne loved the great Idaho outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping with his family, especially at Trinity Lakes and Stanley.

Wayne married Robyn Macgregor from Sydney, Australia, Jan. 19, 2001. She had three children from a previous marriage. They resided in Ontario with his sister, Tammi. Robyn and Wayne separated in March 2002, and Robyn returned to Australia with her children. Wayne and his sister had just moved to Nampa two days preceding his death.

Wayne is survived by two daughters, Brandi Lynn Wilbur, and Ashley Elizabeth Wilbur, Caldwell; his parents, Wayne and Mada Wilbur, Caldwell; three sisters and one brother, Terri (Mark) Simpson, Tammi Baker, Wm. Craig (Marisol) Wilbur, Taffi (Mike) Pugh, Nampa and Caldwell area; his grandfather, Leland Wilbur, University Place, Wash.; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by three grandparents; one uncle; and one aunt.

Wayne, our loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and cousin, you will be missed terribly and remembered lovingly always.
