Evelyn Joyce Mitchell, 78, of Decatur, Ala., died Friday, May 6, 2005. Visitation will be from 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Roselawn Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 8, 2005, at Roselawn Cemetery.
Officiating at the funeral will be the Rev. Frank Boyles.
She was a native of Decatur, Ala. She was the wife of the late Thomas Edward Mitchell. She was born to Maggie Pitts Turman and John Matthew Turman. She was manager of Kids Kountry day-care center.
She is survived by three sons, Thomas S. Mitchell and wife, Rhonda, Huntsville, John Edward Mitchell, Huntsville, Ronald K. Mitchell and wife, Susan, Birmingham; two daughters, Kathy Mitchell, Decatur, Nancy Mitchell, Decatur; one sister, Beverly Bulman and husband, Jay, Sheffield; three brothers, James E. Turman and wife, Clara, Danville, Ga., William H. Turman and wife, Joann, Florence, Bobby L. Turman and wife, Brenda, Mount Juliet, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Stuart Mitchell, Birmingham, Evan Mitchell, Birmingham, Derek Mitchell, Huntsville, Sara Mitchell, Huntsville, Brad Caldwell, Auburn, and Emily Caldwell, Huntsville.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Mitchell, Ronnie Mitchell, Eddie Mitchell, Derek Mitchell, Stuart Mitchell, Evan Mitchell and Jimmy Mitchell.
Memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or one's favorite charity.
