Shirley Ann Parker Allen was the first born child to Hurbert Parker and Ruby Perry on April 30, 1942 in Enid, OK.

Her educational experiences included Carver and Booker T. Washington Elementary Schools in Enid, OK. Shirley's family moved to OKC in 1952, where she instantaneously accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized and joined the Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.

In OKC, she attended Dunbar Elementary and graduated from Douglass High School in 1960.

In 1962, Shirley married Grady Allen, and to this union, two children were born, LaDonna and Alvin.

She began laboring for Western Electric in 1964, which eventually became known as Lucent Technologies, as a layout operator. Shirley was a loyal and dedicated employee for 37 1/2 years prior to her retirement in 2002.

Our very classy, modest and devoted Shirley leaves in God's care: her adoring mother, Ruby Brown; one living daughter and son: LaDonna Allen and Alvin Allen (Barbara); one stepson and stepdaughter, Stanley Allen and Lenora Allen; grandsons: C.Rashee Sykes, and Houston Jones II; and granddaughters: Ebony A. Owens (Matthew), Danielle Allen, Tristan Allen, and Tiffany Allen; and four great-grandchildren.

She also leaves to cherish her memories: two sisters; Marva Smith and Vella Roberts (Ray); six brothers: Johnny Smith, Ronald Smith (Molly), Donald Smith, Hurbert Parker II (Rhonda),Robert Parker (Delores), and Phillip Parker; aunts: Flossie Padilla, Lola Fitzgerald, Lois Williams, Shirley Dixon (Tom); stepmother: Tollese Parker; stepgrandmother: Daisy Simmons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who are special to Shirley.
