Lorenz A. Luetkens, 80, of Reedsburg, died Sunday, August 5, 1984 in the Snyder Nursing Home following a long illiness.

He was born to Fred Luetkens and Anna Schroeder on April 23, 1904 in Westfield Township, Sauk County. He was married to Lillian (Ruth) Bergman August 14, 1927 at St. John's church of Loganville. His wife, Ruth preceded him in death on March 9, 1947, and a son Norbert on February 9, 1982 and a daughter (Vera Mae) Mrs. Orvile Hahn, on December 3, 1969.

Survivors include three daughters, (Delores) Mrs. Wilbert Harms, (Vernice) Mrs. Donald Schultz, and (Marlene) Mrs. Martin Koenecke, Jr. all of Reedsburg; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-granddchildren; and one brother, Arthur Luetkens of Reedsburg, and one sister (Elva) Mrs. Herbert Baumgarten of Loganville.

Lorenz farmed in this area for a number of years.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 8, at St. John's Lutheran church of Loganville with the Rev. John Pingel officiating. Burial followed in St. John's cemetery, Loganville.
