CHARLES MICHAEL BUCHER
Charles Michael Bucher of 1509 N. Lowry av., who had operated a hardware business in Springfield many years, died at 7:50 p.m. Monday in Community Hospital where he had been a patent since Sunday. Mr. Bucher was a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church several years, and was a 52-year member of the United Commercial Travelers. He graduated from Miami-Jacobs Business College, Dayton.
Born near New Carlisle, Nov. 6, 1881, he was the son of W.L. and Jennie Helvie Bucher. His wife, Loureta Bucher, died in 1956.
Surivors include one daughter, Miss Betty Bucher, a registered nurse at Community Hospital; one sister, Mrs. Leota B. Weller, and two nephews, William and Merrill Weller, all of Springfield, and several grandnieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Littleton Funeral HOme, with burial in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The family suggests that remembrances be made to the Northminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund or Organ Fund.
