MRS. MARY KATHERINE STEFFISH, 83. of Creekside, died Friday. June 16, 1978. at the Indiana Hospital. A daughter of Mike and Mary Smisko Hardick. she was born Oct. 26. 1894. in Punxsutawney. Mrs. Steffish had formerly resided in Rossiter. and had been living in Creekside for the past 39 years. She was a member of the Church of Assumption at Ernest. : Surviving are these children: " George of Butler; Andrew of Pittsburgh; Mrs. Delno (Mary) Riley of Detroit. Mich.; Mrs. George (Pauline) • Kovalyak. John and Rudolph all of Creekside: Mrs. John (Irene) Gallo of Marion Center and Mike of Indiana; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Jack and Andy, both of Punxsutawney; Rudolph of Merritt Island. Fla.: four sisters: Mrs. Ann Gresock and Mrs. Pete (Pauline) Brosky. both of Punxsutawney: Mrs. John (Dorothy) Coursin "of California, and Mrs. Sue Train of Silver Creek. N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband. George. Steffish on Aug. 5. 1945. two brothers.-Albert and George, and a sister, Alice. The family will receive friends from 7-9 today and 2-4 and 7-9. p.m. Sunday at the Frank T. Mihalcik Funeral Home. Indiana. A rosary and "wake service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Assumption at Ernest with the Rev. Fr. Nicholas M. Trongo as celebrant and interment will follow in the Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery. Anita
