Erik Alfred Was 9 When His Mother Died And He Stayed With His Step-father Till He Was 12. Then He Went Out On His Own. He Worked For A Farmer Named Nels Sellstedt, Granvig, Solleftea, Angermanland From Nov 1, 1880 Till 1887.

He First Came To America In The Fall Of 1887 At The Age Of 29. He Returned To Sweden sometime Between Dec 28, 1891 And May 1, 1892. He Left Sweden The Second Time From Goteborg On Oct 11, 1893.

He Brought A Woman Back With Him That Was Supposed To Mary Him But Actually Only Wanted A One Way Ticket To America.

He Married Ida Marie Anderson On March 29, 1894. They Settled On A Farm Near Pine City MN. (He Also Put Money Down On Another Farm Nearby For His Brother Gottfrid, Who Was Planning On Coming To America. But His Wife Kristine Elisabeth Didn't Want To, So They Didn't.)

After 5 Years At Pine City He Bought A Farm With A Log Cabin On It At Harris MN. Four Days After They Moved In, Hilma Christine Was Born In That Log Cabin. He Later Built A New House To Replace The Cabin. He Took Pride In His Farm, With It's Beautiful Tree Lined Lane And Apple Orchard.

Erik Alfred Died On That Farm At The Age Of 72 And His Wife, Ida Marie, Died In Minneapolis At The Age Of 78.

Erik Alfred Was A Small (5'6") Handsome Man With Thick Dark Hair. He Was Married At 35 Years Old And Fathered 8 Children.
