Mrs. Mary Emma Richardson Ross, age 84, widow of Charles W. Ross of 3927 Shefield Drive, passed away Friday, Sept 13, 1974, in a local hospital. She was born April 15, 1890 in Union County, daughter of the late Frank and Alice Broom Richardson. Mrs. Ross had lived in Charlotte sixty years and was a member of the Shamrock Drive Baptist church. Funeral services will be 330pm Saturday, Sept 14 at The Hankins & Whittington Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ernest Glass, her minster, officiating. Interment in Laurelwood Cemetery, Rock Hill, SC. She is survived by two sons, Roy W. Ross of Charlotte and Charles W. Ross Jr. of Kershaw SC; one sister, Mrs. Ida Sistar of Rock Hill, SC; two brothers, J.F. Richardson of Daytona Beach Fla., and George W. Richardson of Rock Hill, SC. The family will be at the home of Rev. Fred Roberts, her son-in-law, with whom she made her home, 3927 Sheffield Dr. Memorials may be sent to The Albermarle Road Baptist Mission, 8303 Albermarle Rd., 28212.
