The obituary for Mrs. Mary Ann Barker stated that she had died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Fearman, Oct. 17, 1906. She was born May 13, 1819. She married first Thomas Blythe [in TN?ca 1837] at the age of 18. They moved to IL and he died about two years later leaving her with two little girls, Mrs. Nancy Clawson and Mrs. Phoebe Bolin, both of Nevada, MO. She married second Jesse I. Barker, Apr. 20, 1844 and he died Aug. 14, 1863. Nine children were born to them and surviving were Mrs. Fearman; Mrs. Rachel Groves, Mrs. Sarah Hughes; William J.; Berry; and Jesse I. Also surviving were 21 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Windsor Gazette - 18 Oct 1906
