She was of the Lutheran Faith. She loved going to concerts and meeting country and western stars.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Karen (Jeffrey) Bentley of Harrisburg and Terry Gaddis of Dawson, a son; John W. Foster of Springfield, one grandson; Michael (Danielle) Gribble, great granddaughter Brittney Morse, a brother Duane (Ruth) Rankin of Glen Carbon, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home, with Steve Oberg officiating. Burial will be in Chatham Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Sangamon County Animal Control for the Genelle Foster Memorial Play Area, 2100 Shale Road, Springfield, IL 62703.
