Oscar Wannstedt Dies
Oscar Wannstedt, one of the oldest residents of this county died Monday in his home in Anita[sic-Florence] at the age of 89 years.[88 years,10 months & 27 days] He had been in poor health for the past 12 months. The deceased was born in Sweden, a son of Mr. & Mrs. August Wannstedt and came to this county when a young man. He was united in marriage to Miss Arna[sic-Anna Dugas] Duza in 1890 and they had lived in Anita for the past 40 years where he was employed in the mines.
He was a member of the Catholic Church of Anita and was held in high esteem there where his death is deeply regretted.
He leaves his widow and the following sons and daughters:
~ Oscar, of New York;
~ Martin and Charles of Anita;
~ Mrs. Anna Leap of Lisbon, Ohio.
Five grandchildren are also living.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning beginning at 10 o'clock in the Anita Catholic Church with Rev. Reschini officiating and interment made in the Anita Catholic cemetery.
