Garlin
Annie Adair Garlin, age 81, of 108 McKenzie St., Adairsville, died Sunday morning Oct. 3, 1999 at the residence following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Adairsville, Sept. 27, 1918, daughter of the late Charlie and Christine Stephens Adair. She was a member of the Adairsville First Christian Church and at one time owned the Red Pig Restaurant in Adairsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Z. T. Garlin, on April 8, 1989.
Survivors include a sister, Jeanette Toups of Baytown, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles Wade and Evelyn Adair of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Adairsville First Christian Church with Minister Phil McPherson officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The body will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.
Active pallbearers will be Tommy Garlin, Jerremy Atkins, Stacey Garlin, Lonnie Waters, Ronald Stephens, Austin Stephens, Butch Toups, and Gary Commingham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of the church.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
R. Dudley Barton and Son Funeral Home, Adairsville is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Annie Adair Garlin.
