Mr. Aubrey Sheppard, age 72, of E. Church Street in Sandersville, died Thursday, September, 9, 2010 at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00pm at the Jackson's Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Mike Jones and Rev. Andy Carter will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chris Deal, Justin Sheppard, Ross Sheppard, Loring Boatright, Vaughn Hood, Edwin Thompson, Josh Archer and Tommy Boyd. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Jackson's Church and the A.I.C.C. retiree club.

Mr. Sheppard was born in Washington County the son of the late Henry Edwin Sheppard and the late Harriett Frances Sheppard. He was retired for the American Industrial Clay Company as transportation director. Mr. Sheppard was an active member of the Jackson's Baptist where he served as a deacon and as church song leader. He was an avid collector of antique farm memorabilia. His wife Mattie Johnson Sheppard and his sister Eleanor Sheppard predecease him.

Survivors are his children, Cecilia Sheppard, Russell Sheppard (Kathy) and Trevor Sheppard (Ramona) all of Sandersville, grandchildren, Anna Sheppard Deal (Chris), Ross Sheppard, Justin Sheppard, Lauren Sheppard, and Katie Sheppard, step children, Roger Thompkins of Colorado and Sharon Denise Jamison of Tennille and step grandchildren Crystal Jamison, Justin Jamison and Joshua Jamison.
