Robert was raised in Bridgeville, PA, and graduated from Chartiers Valley High School in 1970. He attended the Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy in New York, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in marine transportation in 1974. Shortly after, he married the girl next door - Maryann Yankel, his neighbor since they were teenagers. In addition to his wife, Mr. Colin is survived by his sons Brian and Jeffrey, 2 brothers Richard Dean Colin and Roy David Colin. A memorial service was held for Robert at St. Agatha Church of Holy Child Parish in Bridgeville, PA. Bob worked for Aon Corp. on the 92nd floor of the second tower struck during the 9/11 terrorist attack. His remains were found several weeks after the attack and cremated. The day before the cremation, Robert's father, Ray J. Colin, died in Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio at age 83. Bob was from North Babylon, New York.
