Clara F. Kotzman, 86, of Pittsburg, KS died 5:45am Friday May 18, 2007 at Chanute Health and Rehab following a long illness.
Clara was born December 6, 1920 in Pittsburg, KS; the daughter of Charles and Ora (Dallas) Pabst.
Clara was a lifelong resident of the community and a graduate of College High in Pittsburg, KS.
Clara married Joseph Kotzman on December 5, 1942 in Lamar, MO; he preceded her in death on December 3, 1996.
Clara worked as a nurse's aide at Medicalodge South in Pittsburg, KS for 35 years before retiring in 1985.
Clara was a member of the Episcopal Church in Pittsburg, KS; an Altar Guild at the church; a member of the Humane Society; loved crochet, grandkids, dogs and cats. She also worked at the doggy-bag as a volunteer.
Survivors include daughter Susan Mitchell and husband Bill of Chanute, KS; grandchildren Chris, Dustin, and Amanda Mitchell; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral Services will be 10am Tuesday May 22, 2007 at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Fr. Bill Wolff officiating.
Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS.
The family will receive friends 6-7pm Monday May 21, 2007 at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac, KS were friends may call after 2pm.
In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to South East Kansas Humane Society and the American Cancer Society.
Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Friskel Funeral Home 230 E. McKay St. in Frontenac, KS.
