Betty married Ray Blakely in 1943 and when he died in August of 1992, they had been married one week short of 50 years. Betty was active in the PTA, girl scouts, the Sarah Mooney Museum, Lemoore Senior Citizens and the United Methodist Church Women's group. She also taught piano lessons. In addition, Ray and Betty were King and Queen representing Lemoore in the Kings County Homecoming parade.
Betty is survived by one son; Alvin Blakely and spouse Lori of Los Osos, one daughter; Georgia Rae McKim and spouse Douglas of Lemoore, 2 grandchildren; Brandon Blakely of Los Osos and Ashley Blakely of Atascadero as well as several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband; Ray.
Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.
