Rose M. Malo, 92, of Whitney, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, in Edgewood Nursing Center, Unity Township.
She was born Feb. 18, 1909, in Whitney, a daughter of the late John and Catherine Balik Repko. She was a member of St. Cecilia Church in Whitney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Malo; a son, Stephen Malo; three sisters, Helen Repko, Mary Sobota and Julie Vasinko; and a brother, Stanley Repko.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Eileen Malo of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Frank Repko of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Ann Britt of Whitney, Wilda Downs and Sally Dellavechio, both of Latrobe; a granddaughter, Tara Malo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Cecilia Church with the Rev. Chad Ficorilli, O.S.B., as celebrant.
Interment in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township. A parish rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
