FINAL RITES HELD IN SALEM FOR MRS. KAY
Funeral services were held at Salem today for Mrs. Cora Mary Kay, widow of Thomas B. Kay, former state treasurer of Oregon and owner of the Kay Woolen mills and a native of Yamhill County. Mrs. Kay died at her home there Wednesday.
Born in Yamhill County March 15, 1863, Mrs. Kay was the daughter of Elizabeth and Collin Wallace, who crossed the plains to Oregon. She was married to Mr. Kay in 1888 and came to Salem to live in 1895. Mrs. Kay was a member of the First Christian church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hollis Huntington; a son, Ercel W. Kay, and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Clough-Barrick chapel with interment in City View cemetery, Salem.
