Obituary

The life of William A. Coster closed on the evening of March 30, 1926, at about 9:30 p.m. The angel of death came and took him from a life of suffering to a land of life and liberty.

He was kind and a friend to all with whom he met. He had not an enemy in the world as far as anyone knew.

He was patient in all his sickness and suffering which he had borne for several months.

He was aged 90 years and 6 months. If he had lived until the first of September he would have been 91 years of age.

Mr. Coster was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in the year of 1835, and came to this country when but three years of age. He was one of the pioneer residence of this section.

About the year 1867 he was united in marriage to Nancy Cornwell, who preceded him in death 18 years ago. To this union were born three children one who sleep in death and two are still living. They are Mrs. Flora Gentry, 313 south Maple street, city, and Henry D. Coster, of Indianapolis.

He leaves besides the two children, one sister Mrs. Emily Goss of this county, four grandchildren and several other relatives to mourn their loss.

But while we feel a loss below, in Heaven there is a gain and in that bright forevermore, we hope to meet again.

Services were held at the Arthur Day Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. John Ellis of Solsbury, after which the remains were taken to the Richland cemetery, where his white robed body was then laid to rest by the side of his wife to await the resurrection of the pure in heart.
