Ronald D. Adams, 43, of Girard died at 1:46 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in St. John's Hospital.
He was born May 7, 1959, in Springfield, the son of Robert E. and Rosella Millburg Adams. He married Rebecca Stout on February 16, 1991, in Farmersville. He was a coal miner at Crown III Mine in Farmersville since 1978 and also worked on the family farm. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #1152 of Farmersville and UMWA Local #12.
Surviving are his wife; parents of Virden; daughters: DeAnna Todt of Palmer and Demeri Adams of Girard; son, Dillon Adams of Girard; father-in-law, Richard Stout of Taylorville; brothers: Dennis (wife Paulette) Adams of Springfield, Douglas Adams of Houston, TX, David (wife Brenda) Adams and Roger (wife Geri) Adams, both of Girard; sister, Diane (husband Isaac) Dodd of Waterloo; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
Liturgy of the Word will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Girard, with Father David Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard, with Prayer Service at 3:45 p.m.
