Larry was born July 9, 1939 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to the late Theodore E. and Louise (Chase) Adkins.
He married Judith Wiater on March 12, 1960.
Larry was a truck driver for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Adkins in 2009; grandson, Robert Fry in 2007; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Kerri Rae (David) Gochenour of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; sons, Larry (Karen) Adkins, Jr. of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jerry (Kelly) Adkins of Laurel, Nebraska, Gary (Jennifer) Adkins of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Adkins of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Louis (Lola) Austin of Wahoo, Nebraska; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial was held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
