Mrs. Alta DICKEY, 80, died this morning at 3:50 o'clock in Woodlawn hospital, where she had been a patient 10 days. Mrs. Dickey, who resided on R.R. 2, Akron, had been ill the past 2 1/2 months.
Born Dec. 1, 1878, in Kosciusko county, she had resided her entire life in the Beaver Dam community. She was married Nov. 19, 1898, to J.Frank DICKEY, who died in March, 1957. Her parents were Isaac and Julia WIDEMAN ENGLE.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Waldo (Mabel) ADAMS, and Mrs. Willis (Mary) BOWEN; one son, Elmer DICKEY, all of R.R. 2, Akron; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Beaver Dam E.U.B. church with the Rev. Lloyd OVERMYER officiating. Burial will be in the Nichols cemetery north of Akron. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home in Akron until noon Thursday, when the body will be taken to the church to lie in state from 1-2 p.m.
