The marriage of the late James and Elizabeth Carter was blessed by their child, a son James Weldon Carter (Jimmy), on August 15, 1929 in Winston, North Carolina. He made is final journey home on February 20, 2009.
Jimmy was baptized at an early age in North Carolina, and upon coming to Baltimore, Maryland he rededicated his life to God.
Jimmy married the former Alberta Brown on July 13, 1957. This union was blessed with four children Donna, Valerie, Angelo (deceased) and Michael Carter.
Jimmy worked at various jobs, but it was home improvement, being self-employed that he love. Painting, dry walling, roofing he could do it all.
Jimmy had a welcoming spirit that brought comfort and peace to the lives he touched. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his son Angelo Carter, his parents, three sisters Irene Carter, Catherine Moody and Minnie Evans, one brother Jefus Carter.
Left to celebrate his memory are: his wife Alberta Carter; daughters Donna and Valerie Carter; sons James Carter III and Michael Carter; his sisters Corene Mitchell and Mary Richerson; ten grandchilderns and one great-grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
