She was the daughter of former US President Ronald Reagan and actress Jane Wyman. After her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 1994 she became a spokesperson for the Alzheimer's Organization on his behalf. She found out in 1996 that she had malignant melanoma and received numerous treatments to battle the disease. When she started having spasms and seizures it was discovered that her melanoma had returned and spread to her brain. She died less than three months later.
