Abe Bohon
Funeral services for Abe Bohon, 77, a retired fanner of Nelsonville, were held Sunday, Jan. 6, 1975, at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church in Benbow conducted by Rev. Virgil Graves. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Music was provided by Mrs. Fred Cast and Mrs. Vincent Schliermacher. Casketbearers were grandsons, Jim Bishop, Stephen St. Clair, Dwayne Crook, Jim Bohon, Gary Bohon, and Kilby Bohon.
Mr. Bohon died Thursday, Jan. 2, at 3:40 p.m. in Levering Hospital, Hannibal.
He was born in Nelsonville Aug. 11, 1897, a son of Dudley and Annie Bohon Bohon. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He married Lucile Smoot March 24, 1921 in Palmyra. She died July 30, 1974.
Surviving are a son, Ray of Hannibal; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Crook of Monroe City and Mrs. John (Nadine) St. Clair of Nelsonville; two sisters, Mrs. Lorena Bogener at Philadelphia and Mrs. Effie Keck of Hannibal; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
