Francisco was born in Covina ,California. His parents later moved and made their home the Tucson area.

He enlisted in the Marines 20 January 1966, at the Phoenix Recruiting Office.

Survived by his parents, Roger A and Eva A Montano and his younger brother, Ruben of 798 North Contzen Avenue, Tucson, Arizona.


Francisco Montano was a resident of Tucson who had been in the Marines since 1966. Francisco was assigned to Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division.


Sadly, his brother, SP4 Benjamin Ruben Montano, would die of wounds sustained in Vietnam in June 1969.
